Belarus: Jewish Cemetery in Borisov Vandalized (Again)
(ISJM) The Jewish Heritage Research Group in Belarus reports that two days ago the old Jewish cemetery in Borisov was vandalized and that 13 gravestones were destroyed. A complaint has been filed with the local police.
This is not the first time the cemetery has been desecrated. In July, 2002, 70 gravestones in the Jewish cemetery were damaged, in one of several acts against Jewish property in the city.
An undated description of the Borisov Jewish cemeteries by Eliyahu Tavger with attached lists of names of those buried there can be found here.
